The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme has been launched by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong. The Scheme aims to attract the outstanding students around the world, irrespective of their country of origin, to pursue their PhD degree programmes in Hong Kong.
In the past two years, outreach visits were made to notable institutions in Southeast Asia, South America and Europe. Through information sessions and meetings with students and faculties, the Chairman and representatives of the RGC, together with delegates of institutions, introduce Hong Kong higher education to participants and respond to enquiries regarding the Scheme and PhD studies in Hong Kong.
Outreach visits to be conducted by the RGC for the Scheme in 2011 are as follows:
